Grand Traverse Band of Ottowa and Chippewa Indians.
The design challenge was to incorporate arrows that represent past tribal leaders into a shadow box that could be easily opened from the back to accommodate more arrows as needed.
Using Cresent suede mats and design elements representitive of colors used by the tribe, Todd and his staff used a Larson-Juhl frame to convey the heritage of this tribal tradition. The piece incorporates museum glass and the arrows appear to be floating.
