McMillen's Gallery of Projects

We present here some of the projects in which we have recently been involved and we invite you to browse them and see how some of these ideas might work for you. The images in these photo galleries are meant to indicate both some of the creative details of the framing expertise at McMillen's and also to show these ideas presented in their environmental context. The hanging frames on display at McMillen's (right) are just a small sample of the choices available.

As an example, La Cuisine Amical has original artwork with framing by McMillen's as an integral part of their dining environment, as seen in the second image at the right.

Below, explore the artwork and framing by McMillen's displayed at the Grand Traverse Heart Associates to imagine how such artwork can add to the ambiance of your office space with a coordinated uniform treatment.

Below that, the Goodwill Inn of Traverse City shows the concept of "Recognition Boards." Think how recognition boards might work in your organization to recognize those who have contributed to your business or establishment.

Or, consider how McMillen's design and framing of artwork for you might add to the surroundings of your home.

We are indebted to the Grand Traverse Heart Associates and the Goodwill Inn for allowing us to present these stories.

McMillen's Framing, together with Traverse City artist Charlie Murphy, has contributed a series of "Recognition Boards" to the Goodwill Inn project in Traverse City. These boards, seen in the attached photo gallery, were produced with an original painting by C. Murphy and were framed and mounted as recognition boards to recognize the many patrons and sponsors of the project. Each board has a segment of a copy of the original artwork. You will find the boards placed throughout the facility, at the main entrance, in the corridors, and at the entrances to the many rooms of the facility.

The Goodwill Inn of Traverse City, the largest homeless shelter in Northern Michigan, provides the first line of defense for people who have lost their homes and are trying to build stable, productive lives.

The Inn has been in operation since 1979 and has recently relocated to a new facility on Keystone Road off of South Airport Road. Their mission is to assist individuals and families in overcoming the barriers causing homelessness. Their vision is that every individual and family has a safe, decent, affordable place to live.
